  1. There's a new community-produced mural over at the Howard M. Terpenning Complex. Young people gathered at the facility on Saturday to help paint the visions of seven Latinx artists. Sponsored jointly by THPRD, Color Outside the Lines and Five Oaks Museum, the Talking Walls project celebrates Latinx culture and demonstrates the diversity of local Latinx art. (KGW.com)
  2. Beaverton Pharmacy is extra busy these days after an announcement authorizing boosters for Moderna and J&J vaccines. Western States Scientific Review work group issued the statement Friday, which included provisions for mixing-and-matching— that is, people who received a J&J vaccine can safely get a Moderna booster, according to the article. It's a step towards getting us "back to as close to normal life as we're used to," an employee of the pharmacy remarked. (KPTV.com)
  3. Take a gander at the highlights of Friday's game between Sunset and Beaverton over at YouTube via KGW.com. The Apollos dominated 41-22 with touchdowns from Caleb Kim and Chase Limbacker. It was Sunset's fifth win of the season, putting them at fourth in their league.
  4. Meteorologists used terms like "bomb cyclone" and "atmospheric river" to describe our weather on Sunday, but the gist is that it was really, really wet and very windy. KOIN offers a glimpse of the storm's impact on cities throughout the area. Hillsboro PD reported a downed tree destroyed a greenhouse at Eastwood Elementary, and another downed tree on the tracks caused delays for trains running between Portland and Seattle.   5. The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported on Friday of the discovery of a body near Banks, which has since been identified as 42-year-old Jessica Elizabeth Hart. The agency characterizes the death as 'suspicious,' and they're asking for the public's help in the investigation.
