Morning, neighbors! Ash DeMello here with your brand-new copy of the Beaverton Daily.

First, today's weather:

Some sun, then turning cloudy. High: 59 Low: 45.

Here are the top five stories today in Beaverton:

  1. A Beaverton company played a role in today's Super Bowl, for better or worse. Click over to the Willamette Week article describing Cooper Kupp's training regimen, handcrafted by Headquarters Wellness Solutions (out of Beaverton) and EForce Sports (Lake Oswego), and executed in a Wilsonville barn.
  2. A review of the Beaverton School District's program to have police in schools is underway. City Council is set to meet with the contracted consultant in the upcoming week to review the company's plan to collect data pertaining to school resource officers. The review is in response to student reports of feeling uncomfortable in the presence of such officers. 3. Locals breathed easier after the Washington County Sheriff's Office said that a missing Buxton man had been located on Thursday. Charles Witham was reported missing Wednesday evening after a friend discovered his home unsecured and empty. "Thanks to everyone to helped share our message," the agency posted on social media Thursday after revealing that Witham was found safe. (The Banks Post)
  4. A South Korean chain is breaking into the U.S. market close to home with the opening of the Cedar Hills Paris Baguette. The company has thousands of stores around the world, but relatively few in the United States. Skip on over to the new location for croissants, sandwiches, cakes and more! (Willamette Week)
  5. Sunset boys deserve a big shoutout following their performance at the Metro League championships on Saturday. Get the details via OregonLive (subscription required).
