Company That Worked on Beaverton School Shorted Workers
Brun Metals Company underpaid workers on two projects, says Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries.

A metals company that worked on the Arts and Communications Magnet Academy in Beaverton underpaid four workers by thousands of dollars, according to the Oregon Bureau of Labor Industries.
The company - Brun Metals Company - worked on the academy's Performing Arts and Educational Building.
BOLI determined the workers - who the agency said should have been paid prevailing wages - were underpaid.

As a result, BOLI says the company must pay $18,139.81 in unpaid damages and the same amount in damages.
The work happened in 2009 and 2010.

"Oregon workers deserve to be paid every dime they’ve earned, especially on taxpayer-funded projects," said Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian. "Our agency is committed to strong and fair enforcement so that public works projects pay the full wages owed under Oregon law."
The company was also fined in connection with their work on a school in Redmond.
