Cougar Spotted In Tigard's Cook Park
The cougar was seen on the edge of the park around 7:30 p.m., according to Tigard police. Park visitors are advised to be cautious.

TIGARD, OR — A cougar was spotted near Cook Park in Tigard Friday night, according to Tigard police. Witnesses at the park reportedly told officers the cougar was laying in some grass before walking deeper into the nearby woods shortly before 7:30 p.m. July 14.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) advises all users of the park and trails to be cautious while recreating in the area, and further suggests not visiting the park alone. Parents are encouraged to pay close attention to their children's activities while in the area.
ODFW officials are reportedly concerned the cougar may be acclimating to populated areas.
