Here are the top stories in Beaverton today:
- Stacker has compiled its latest "Best places to live in Oregon" list, and our area comes up looking pretty awesome. The top four were all Beaverton-ish `hoods: Oak Hills, Cedar Hills, Cedar Mill and Bethany. Raleigh Hills also made the list at number seven. Congrats around to all you amazing folks who help make our area so fabulous! (KTVZ)
- It was a bad quarter for Digimarc. The Advocate writes that the local software company reported a loss of $2.9 million in its third quarter. The tumble resulted in an adjusted loss of 41 cents per share for the publicly traded entity.
- Washington County has some new faces among its leadership. The agency announced on Monday the appointment of three assistant county administrators to serve within a restructured County Administrative Office. Erin Calvert, Marni Kuyl and Ahmad Qayoumi will lead a new community strategic planning process known as "Design the Future" over the next two years. (Washington County)
- Check out the latest traffic safety stats for our area at the Washington County Sheriff's Office social media feed. The agency reports that it arrested 79 drivers for DUII in October. Enhanced patrols are scheduled to continue through this month, including over the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Goats like to stand on stuff, and a Bethany rooftop was no exception this weekend. Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on Sunday when a goat appeared to be stuck on a neighbor's roof. The solution? The deputies were able to lure the animal down with French fries. (KOIN)
