🌱Edwards Center Awarded $300K + Parking Center Opens Downtown

Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:
- A former Beaverton High School coach just got a promotion. Western Oregon University announced that Kaiao Nahale-a will serve as the school's next head volleyball coach. Nahale-a was named Metro league co-coach of the year in 2015 following the Beavers' trip to the state tournament. (WOU Athletics)
- A $300,000 grant was just awarded to Beaverton-based nonprofit The Edwards Center. The money will help fund a housing model for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The project is designed to allow parents or caregivers to live with the person in need of care within a supportive community. - Extra parking downtown is now available! The Beaverton Central Parking Garage opened at Southwest Crescent Street and Rose Biggi Avenue, next to the new Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, Sally Segar reports. The seven-story garage features 270 parking spots in addition to 6,500 square feet of ground-level retail space.
