- THPRD is excited to provide monthly passes again as the parks organization works towards normalizing. The passes were temporarily halted following the COVID-19 shutdown and continued due to contact tracing requirements. One THPRD rep notes that re-opening didn't happen as quickly as they would have liked, and the changes had a devastating impact on the group's budget. (Pamplin Media Group)
- Westview grad Carson Kelly played with the Hillsboro Hops this Tuesday and Wednesday, July 27 and July 28. The Portland-area native plays catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks and is rehabbing from a fractured wrist. (Pamplin Media Group)
- A former Washington County sheriff's deputy filed a $1 million lawsuit against the county for defamation. Garrick Garland, the plaintiff, was added to the Brady List following a dispute with Detective Patrick Altiere, president of the Washington County Police Association. The Brady List is provided to prosecutors and details officers who have histories that may affect their credibility on the witness stand. Garland says that as a result of that action, he was unable to perform his job. (OregonLive)
