Harvey the Rabbit from Harvey Marine Isn't Going Anywhere

The marine business may be changing but their icon is staying right where it is.

The giant rabbit stays.

That's the word from Harvey Marine, the Aloha business that traces its roots - and its mascot - back years ago to Lake Oswego.

Last week, a Facebook page dedicated to the 20+ foot-tall rabbit that has stood outside Harvey Marine since the late 1960s posted a picture of the rabbit with "#SaveHarvey."

It turned out the Harvey Marine was transitioning from boat repair to an online business.

The owners got wind of the concern, and posted a reassuring message that Harvey's not going anywhere.

"Harvey Marine and our Giant Rabbit have been a fixture of the Aloha / Reedville area for decades," they posted on their webpage. "There are no plans on moving or selling Harvey the Rabbit, in fact Harvey will be here to welcome Black Rock Coffee Company to our East property in the near future.

"Once again, rest assured our beloved rabbit will not be leaving."
