Missing Child Found - Local Kids Hailed as Heroes
Elvin Dejesus Gomez Mendez, a 15-year-old with the capacity of a seven-year-old had not been seen since Tuesday evening.
Beaverton Police say that Elvin Dejesus Gomez Mendez has been found safe.
He was found on the 6200 block of SW Hall Boulevard.
Beaverton Police say that three kids had seen Elvin on the street and recognized him from media reports. They flagged down members of Washington County Search and Rescue who radioed in.

He had not been seen since around 7:00 Tuesday evening.
He left his home with $5 to go to a taco truck on SW Allen Boulevard.

When he did not return home, the family started looking for him, calling police around 1:00 Wednesday morning.
The Beaverton Police conducted searches on the ground and from the air. They even went door to door.
They were particularly concerned because the teen does not know TriMet and is not known to have friends and has never run away.
