Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:
- Local drinkeries got some attention in Willamette Week's list of exciting 16 new Metro-area taprooms. Nebulous got a call out for its 48 taps, fire-salvaged Doug fir from Silver Falls State Park and handsome redwood tables. White Oak Taphouse earned accolades for an "architecturally interesting" bartop, 22 taps and just generally not being Ruby Tuesday (the former occupant of the space). Loyal Legion Beaverton wins locally for most taps at 72 and a generous patio. Finally, Central Station Taps, boasting 30 taps, was praised for a generous game library and some of the more esoteric brewery options.
- If you didn't notice, it SNOWED Monday and chaos ensued. Find out the final snowfall totals at KOIN.com. Beaverton came in at 1 inch, Aloha suffered with 3 inches and Forest Grove collected 5 inches! Hopefully ya'll made it through the record-breaking April snowfall safely!

The event introduced two new recruitment programs as well: The Quick Start Program, which enables someone to become an entry-level semiconductor technician in just two weeks and a collaboration with the Hillsboro School District to funnel local students into tech jobs.
