Lead Found in Beaverton Middle School Drinking Fountains

The district plans to replace the water system but not until next summer.

Lead has been found in two water fountains at Highland Park Middle School, Beaverton School officials announced Monday.

The water fountains have been set down and water dispensers are being provided for the classrooms.

At this point, lead testing is not being provided but the district said that parents should feel free to check in with their child's physician.
