The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Beaverton.

Good morning, Beaverton. You've made it to Friday. Let's get you started with everything you need to know going on today around town.
First, today's weather:
Cloudy with a shower. High: 60 Low: 51.
Here are the top five stories today in Beaverton:
- A hidden camera caught a woman leaving 'hate-filled' notes on a neighbor's car at a Beaverton condominium complex, reports Zane Sparling. The victim used a private detective to identify the culprit as Lorna Hunter, 57, who has been penning racist and homophobic expressions for over two years. The victim is now suing Hunter for $245,000. (OregonLive)
- Restaurant reporter Michael Russell offered a roundup of the area's top food carts from the past decade and what they're doing these days in honor of Portland's very first Food Cart Week (next week!). Beaverton spots featured on the list include Calabash Authentic and Wolf's Head Smokehouse — both at BG's Food Cartel. Matt's BBQ and Farmer and the Beast are both set to grace the incoming Breakside Brewing pod set to open in Beaverton this year. (OregonLive)
- Hiteon Elementary School staff canceled classes on Thursday morning after an 'unknown odor' filled the halls of the school. The decision came after many students had already arrived, prompting BSD to ask parents to come pick up their children. There's no word yet on the cause of the odor. (KOIN.com)
- And here's an update on the crash on TV Highway that killed two Southridge students and injured four: The deputy whose vehicle was hit after a Nissan Altima ran a red light is in "stable but critical condition," according to Washington County Sheriff Pat Garrett. He has been identified Michael Trotter, who has served with the Sheriff's Office since 2013. (FOX 12)
