- Get listed! The Washington County Visitors Association reminds those in the lodging industry to update or add their business's info with the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association (ORLA) for inclusion in the 2022-2023 Travel Oregon Visitor Guide. The regular listing is free for businesses that pay the statewide 1.5 percent lodging tax.
- The advanced manufacturing industry is looking for skilled workers, and it's turning to Portland Community College. Semiconductor businesses like Jireh in Hillsboro have large numbers of job openings ready to be filled, with an expectation of possibly hundreds more by this spring. - The Lebanon Express provides a list of Oregon children who are missing as of November 8. These include Joseph Lesumaiserene, now 15, who has been missing from Beaverton since early October. - A hobby, a breakup and a puzzle: Read about three rings returned to their owners over at OregonLive. Samantha Swindler reports the details of jewelry items that were lost and found all over the area. One 1988 gold ring from Randallstown High School in Randallstown, Maryland, was found at Conestoga Rec Center by a detectorist, who was able to reunite it with its owner.
- The suburbs are hot! Well, at least homes sales in the ZIP codes outside Portland are hot. A total of nine westside Washington County areas were represented in the Portland Business Journal's Suburban Portland Heat Index, Q3. 97006 came in twentieth, 97008 was at seventeenth and Rockcreek was at number ten. Highest ranking of the Beaverton ZIP codes was 97007 at number four, with 285 homes sold at an average of just five days on the market.
