Here are the top stories today in Beaverton:
- Washington County is set to add 54 more beds for those experiencing homelessness in the near future. The Aloha Inn, previously a motel, will soon renovate and reopen as 'permanent supportive housing.' Along with housing, the organization operating the residence will provide supportive services, such as job placement services, access to medical and dental care, addiction treatment and more. - Jason Vondersmith gives an update to progress on The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts in Beaverton, which has concluded fundraising with $12 million successfully raised through gifts and pledges. The more than 960 donors exceeded funding goals by nearly $1 million. The multi-use arts center is set to open in spring 2022. (Pamplin Media Group)
- Reser Foods unveiled a new look for Martin Truex Jr.'s No. 19 Reser's Toyota at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The fun, picnic-themed design is intended to 'highlight how Reser's foods are often enjoyed during the summer months.' (Yahoo!Finance)

Possibilities include an adorable black-and-white kitten named Xanadu, a sweet-looking domestic short hair kitten called Cinnamon and a 6-month-old lab with big brown eyes who looks ready for some cuddles. - Emergency responders closed Highway 26 to eastbound traffic briefly early Monday morning after a pedestrian was hit and injured. Witnesses say a white and yellow or orange box truck fled the scene after hitting the 52-year-old man. An investigation is ongoing, and the victim's injuries are said to be serious but non-life-threatening. (KOIN)
