- Learn more about the plight of grocery workers at OPB News. The publication reports that members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 555, representing many employees at Fred Meyer and QFC stores, began a weeklong strike at 6:00 AM on Friday, December 17. - A notice went out to Beaverton School District families on Thursday, December 16, regarding threats to schools via Tik Tok. KATU staff say they've heard of similar threats to schools all over the state and even the nation, most of which were deemed "non-credible." BSD officials took the opportunity to warn parents about monitoring kids' social media activity.
