Man With Fake Gun Arrested Near Raleigh Hills Elementary School
Joren Rash-Gitner, 25, was reportedly suffering from a mental health crisis when he was seen waving a fake gun at an apartment complex.

RALEIGH HILLS, OR — Beaverton police announced lockouts at Garden Home Recreation Center and Montclair Elementary School Thursday morning following reports of a man with a gun in the area. Washington County Sheriff's deputies were able to locate and arrest the man just after 10:45 a.m.
Joren Meade Rash-Gitner, 25, was taken to the Washington County Jail reportedly for disorderly conduct. No bail information was yet available at publishing time.
Sheriff's spokesman Dep. Jeff Talbot told Patch Rash-Gitner appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis of some kind and was seen "waving a gun around" at an apartment complex where he lives near Southwest Garden Home and Southwest Oleson roads.

Talbot said Rash-Gitner's family reported the gun was fake.
No injuries were reported and no shots were fired — which was preferable, Talbot said, "so we can get him the help he needs."

At the same time just down the road, sheriff's deputies also responded to a bank robbery, Talbot said.
