Police Identify Pregnant Woman Struck by Car and KIlled
Driver had mistakenly put the car in reverse, hitting the woman.

Beaverton Police identified the 37-year-old pregnant woman who was struck and killed Tuesday as Elena Velasquez-Pelico of Beaverton.
She was struck by a car after a driver backed up into her, sending her flying through a plate glass window.
Beaverton Police say that it happened around 1:45 in the parking lot of businesses at 4265 SW Cedar Hills Boulevard. The driver had mistakenly put the car in the reverse.

Velasquez-Pelico was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries.
Police say that the driver was 37-year-old Suha Al Naisani of Beaverton. He stayed at the scene and cooperated.

The Washington County District Attorney's Office will decide whether or not to bring charges.
