The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Beaverton.

Well we made it to Friday everyone! The weather is improving and the weekend is just around the corner. Let's get this party started!
First today's weather:
Sun breaks today amidst the clouds. No rain in the forecast. High: 50 Low: 38
Here are the top five stories today in Beaverton:
- Oregon's largest public defense firm has stopped taking Washington County cases. Metropolitan Public Defenders, a non-profit, announced it could no longer accept public defender cases for at least the next four weeks as it doesn't have the staff. The state is obliged to provide indigent defendants with legal representation and for months Oregon has been unable to meet that requirement. In Multnomah County a judge recently released three defendants awaiting trial, including one being held for domestic violence, because no representation was available for them. (OPB)
- See security footage of two suspects stealing an ATM from a Beaverton restaurant over at Fox 12 Oregon. Si Señor restaurant at 8220 Southwest Hall Boulevard faced a break-in on March 2, and the suspects got away with a machine containing $8,000. An individual who provides technical support for the ATM was able to trace its likely location to Southeast Portland, but because it's now out of the jurisdiction of Beaverton police, the technician says it's unlikely to be recovered.
- Good news update. One of the men the Washington County Sheriff's Office was looking for Thursday has been found. Ronald Engesether has returned to his family. The Sheriff's Office thanks everyone for their tips and attention. (Twitter)
- Ever wondered how decisions are made to fund some city projects and not others? Well you can be part of the process of making those important decisions. The City of Beaverton is looking for citizens who would like to serve on the city's budget committee. A financial background is not required and the city says they welcome people on a fixed income to apply. (Twitter)
