- There's been more info released on the fatal road rage case that took place last Friday on SW 103rd Avenue near Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway a little before 7:00 PM. Police have identified the two vehicles involved: A red 2013 Toyota Corolla and a royal blue 2016 Ford F150 with royal blue rims. Detectives are looking for help in their investigation from potential witnesses of erratic driving from these vehicles around that time on or near I-5, Highway 217 or Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. - Oregon ArtsWatch showcases Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, the new performance venue set to open in March 2022. Community members credit the nearly-complete facility as giving Beaverton a sense of place and helping the city move past its image as merely a bedroom community of Portland. Click over to the article to read more about the site's origination and funding and see how architects worked to evoke the idea of a beaver dam in the design. (Oregon ArtsWatch)
- The City of Beaverton reports that it's teaming up with Hillsboro and other nearby cities to adopt an enhanced mask policy. The efforts are designed to mitigate the latest COVID-19 surge. Beaverton's new policy will require city workers to wear a KN95 respirator with a filtration efficiency of 90 percent or greater, double masks or cloth face coverings or a mask brace or fitter that's aimed at improving the fit and filtration efficiency of a mask or cloth face covering. Beaverton's starting line for this new policy is September 17. (Press Release Desk)
- Everyone loves a mashup, right? Check out the latest dynamic duo: a local wine company and a comic book publisher. Syndicate Wine, LLC, is producing five custom Oregon wines with labels featuring exclusive artwork from Oregon's TidalWave Productions. The first four wines were released for sale to the general public on Thursday. They feature TidalWave's flagship character, Tenth Muse. (wineindustryadvisor.com)
