Morning, Beaverton! Let's get this Saturday started off right. Here's everything going on today in town.

Here are the top stories today in Beaverton:
- Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested one man after a road rage incident in Beaverton on Thursday. Witnesses say a white Subaru was driving recklessly and ran a red light at Southwest Cedar Hills and Walker Road around 4:20 PM. The same driver fired an airsoft rifle at a minivan a few minutes later. The driver, who deputies identified as Anthony Allen, was located and arrested only 20 minutes following the incident. - Washington County is considering a ban on flavored tobacco and vaping products, Max Egener reports. This new legislation would prevent these products from being sold by retailers who serve customers under 21. The county commissioners will continue its discussion of the ban at its meeting on October 19. (Pamplin Media Group)
- If you have kids in BSD or other nearby school districts, you're probably getting the alerts when someone in the school tests positive for COVID. Along with ParentVue alerts, the district has set up a COVID-19 dashboard that went live last month. Compare BSD's response to other districts with help from an article on KOIN.com.
- Portland Community College folks are sharing their sustainability achievements, saying they've made significant progress towards their 2021 Climate Action Plan. Local efforts included updates to Rock Creek campus's Welding Technology Program buildings and Parking Lot E, which now features solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, recycling bins and water bottle refilling stations. College officials say the campuses have achieved a 45 percent decrease in energy use per square foot. (Press Release Desk)
- Take a gander at the upgrades to the intersection at Southwest Bertha and Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) says it's designed to significantly improve the safety and comfort of bicycle riders going eastbound on Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. The current upgrades were mainly striping changes, but PBOT says bicycle "detection and advanced activated warning lights" are forthcoming. (BikePortland.org)

- Forest Grove Uncorked - Take a short road trip to enjoy wine, beer and spirits in the streets of Forest Grove alongside skillfully crafted food, fine arts and local live music. $15 at the gate. (2:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
