Annieka Vaughan: Police Locate Suspect Vehicle; Still Seek Tips

ALOHA, OR — Annieka Vaughan, the 15-year-old victim in a sexual abuse case in Benton County, Washington, ran away from her home in Aloha on Oct. 30 and may be traveling with the 23-year-old man accused of abusing her, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Zachary Petersen of Pasco, Washington, is the suspect in the Benton County Sheriff's Office sex abuse investigation, police said. Petersen reportedly also went missing Oct. 30 after calling a crisis line in Washington.
Police said Petersen may be suicidal and in possession of a firearm, adding that both Petersen and Vaughan could be traveling to Seaside, Oregon, or Sacramento in Petersen's white 1998 Ford F-250 extended cab pickup.

On Nov. 6, police were notified when Petersen's truck was found in a gravel parking lot in the 3500-block of Northwest Cornell Road in Portland shortly before 8 a.m. Vaughan's backpack was found inside the truck, police said.

Police did not find either Vaughan or Petersen after searching the Forest Park area.

Vaughan is 5-foot-9, and 150 pounds. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Petersen is 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. He has brown hair cut in a 'buzz' style and brown eyes.

Petersen's last known location was in the Portland area, police said. Anyone with information on either Vaughan or Petersen or their whereabouts is asked to call the Washington County non-emergency dispatch line at 503-629-0111.
