Serial Robber Sought Across Washington County
Beaverton, Tigard, Portland, and Washington County's law enforcement agencies are involved in the apparent 2-month-long serial robber case.

BEAVERTON, OR — A serial robber hitting small businesses in Beaverton, Tigard, and Portland is wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies. Authorities on Tuesday asked the metro community for any information that could assist their investigations.
The unidentified robber reportedly hit two Beaverton businesses, one in Tigard, one in Washington County's Raleigh Hills area, and one in Portland between Nov. 15 and Dec. 29, 2017.
According to Beaverton police spokesman Mike Rowe, the first known robbery committed by the suspect occurred Nov. 15 at the Breeze Café, 14314 S.W. Allen Blvd. in Beaverton. During this robbery, the suspect was reportedly wearing a hooded camouflage sweater, an orange baseball cap, blue jeans, black shoes, and dark-colored gloves.

The second robbery in Beaverton occurred Dec. 22 at Richard's Deli, 6155 S.W. Murray Blvd. During this robbery, Rowe said, the suspect wore camouflage pants, a green jacket with tan-colored shoulders, a black and white stocking hat, a black ski mask, and gloves (see video below).
At both robberies, the suspect reportedly displayed a handgun in his waistband.

In addition to his clothing, Rowe said the suspect is described as a white male possibly in his 30s.
The robber's modus operandi and his choice of clothing are what led police to believe he's responsible for all five incidents, Rowe said.
Washington County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jeff Talbot told Patch the robbery in Raleigh Hills occurred around 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at UU Yogurt, 8100 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. In that robbery, which was reportedly at gunpoint, the suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and khaki-colored pants, Talbot said.
The suspect was again described as a white male in his 30s with a medium build and height.
Portland officers were dispatched to a reported robbery just after 3:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at Bulldog Deli, 7321 S.W. Garden Home Rd., in southwest Portland. The suspect in that robbery displayed what witnesses believed was a gun when he handed over a note demanding money.
The suspect was described as a white male with green eyes in his mid-to-late 20s, roughly 6 feet tall with a thin build.
Portland Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Christopher Burley told Patch, "Robbery Detail detectives have not 'concluded' that the suspect… is related to (the Beaverton Police) robbery but, as with any open investigation, investigate the possibility that it may be the same person."
The last location was an attempted robbery at Tan Republic, 14250 S.W. Barrow Rd. in Tigard.
Rowe said the suspect "might have been spooked" and did not actually commit a robbery in the store.
Patch has reached out to Tigard's police spokesman and will update this post with details on that incident when he responds.
