Here are the top five stories today in Beaverton:
- A skateboarder was killed in Aloha while skateboarding along the Tualatin Valley Highway on Tuesday. Police were not immediately able to identify the victim. The driver was not cited. (KATU)
- John Hutzler, Washington County auditor, is facing accusations of creating a difficult work environment. Five of the seven employees (including the three current employees) Hutzler has managed over the ten years have come forward to say he micromanaged employees and created a stressful work environment. Although the investigation stopped short of saying Hutzler created a hostile work environment, all five employees with complaints were transferred to other areas. (KOIN)
- Bryce Bybee, 22, was found dead in his cell at the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro, Washington County Sheriff's office announced on Monday. Jail personnel tried to revive the man but were unsuccessful. The body was scheduled for an autopsy Monday afternoon, but officials haven't released the results. (Patch)

- Not as well known as Intel, Biamp, a Beaverton-based company, is vying for the Technology Company of the year, Enterprise Division title, in this year's Technology Association of Oregon's 2022 Technology awards. The winners will be announced May 3. Biamp in Beaverton has produced professional audiovisual hardware and software products for 45 years. (Commercial Integrator)

- Family Craft Hour at the main Beaverton Library is a great way to keep kids busy after school. It's good for all ages and all supplies are provided. Best of all it's free, but registration is required. (4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.)
- Just in time for the rest of your life: There's a workshop called Finding Your Why and What to Do When Your Plan Fails led by Bryan Welsh at the Hidden Creek Community Center 5100 NE Hidden Creek Drive in Hillsboro. The cost is $25. The workshop is part of the Creative Impact Workshop series and is sponsored by both the City of Hillsboro and the City of Beaverton. (4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.)
- It's Trivia Night at The Growlerie, 15151 SW Barrows Road. The event is free and no sign up is required. There will be beer and pizza on the premises. (7:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.)

- I Sing is having a concert April 30 and May 1 to benefit Beaverton's only non-profit dedicated to helping homeless teens, HomePlate. This is a chance to attend a performance in the new Reser's Center for a mere $5 with 100% of the proceeds donated to HomePlate. Read my article here.
- The city is looking for vendors who would like to be part of the Beaverton night market Saturday July 23 and Saturday August 13. Vendors can sell food, crafts or merchandise. Applications are due Friday, May 13, and can be obtained here.
