Stars Cabaret Targeted by Labor Commissioner over Underage Dancers
Commissioner Brad Avakian brings civil rights charges against the strip club chain.

Stars Cabaret, a Beaverton-based chain of strip clubs, has been notified by State Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian that he is bringing civil right charges against the company.
The move stems from the sexual harassment of two minor - ages 13 and 15 - who danced at the Beaverton location.
The 13-year-old was repeatedly raped after being forced to act as a prostitute by a manager who was later convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The 15-year-old was hired a stripper by a previously convicted sex offender.

Avakian is seeking $4 million each for each of the two teens.
"Today's charges reflect the severity of conditions faced by these vulnerable minors," he said in a statement.
