Sunset High School to Host 18th Annual Honor by Listening Veteran Event
The annual event gives students an opportunity to learn about war and military life from the people who have lived through it.
BEAVERTON, OR — Beaverton School District students will honor local military veterans this month for the 18th annual Honor by Listening event at Sunset High School next Thursday.
From 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. May 18 at 13840 N.W. Cornell Rd., veterans will share their military experiences with students and explain what its like to serve during wartime.

The event fosters intergenerational communication, and also allows students to grapple with how history is remembered and written. The event also fosters wonderful connections within the community that live on for years.
