- Sunset High School's Career Technical Education (CTE) program students and staff are doing some innovating! The team helped solve a potentially costly HVAC issue at Stoller Middle School when they used a 3D printer to create a replacement part on equipment that allows air to flow into classrooms. - The Washington County Sheriff's Office reports on a September drugs bust in North Plains. Investigators seized over 800 pounds of dried marijuana, 5,719 marijuana plants, about $500,000 in grow equipment and $22,000 in cash from a home located on Jackson School Road that was serving as an illegal grow site. - Oregon State volleyball libero and Beaverton native Grace Massey is getting some well-deserved attention. Massey has been named the two-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll honoree, received OSU's Academic Excellence Award and was named to the 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic First Team. - Would you like to know what's (possibly) in store for us weather-wise this winter? Oregon meteorologists will be convening soon to make some predictions. Jim Redden reports on the 29th annual Winter Weather Forecast Conference hosted by the Oregon Chapter of the American Meteorological Society, scheduled for October 23. - Take a virtual tour of one of Nike's newest buildings over at Complex. The LeBron James Innovation Center at the Beaverton-area campus is now home to the massive Nike Sport Research Lab. A peak inside the 750,000-square-foot building reveals a replica Winnebago in homage to the company's humble origins, office space for around 75 researchers and support staff and a vast wealth of high-tech sports research equipment.
