ICYMI: Support Special Olympics Of Oregon: 'Tip-A-Cop' At Red Robin Oct. 21

Law enforcement agencies across the metro region will raise money for Special Olympics of Oregon at several Red Robin locations Oct. 21.

Law enforcement personnel from agencies across the Portland metro region will help raise money for the Special Olympics of Oregon this weekend at Red Robin locations in Beaverton, Hillsboro, Portland, Gresham, Clackamas, and Wilsonville.

On Oct. 21, Beaverton and Hillsboro police and Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties deputies will take part in the annual Tip-a-Cop event for the Law Enforcement Torch Run campaign by helping Red Robin staff provide service and entertain guests, as well as take donations to the Special Olympics organization. All donations given to police will go directly to the Special Olympics, officials said.

"For 12 years, Red Robin has been honored to host Tip-A-Cop, a program that brings communities together at our restaurants in support of Special Olympics mission of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities," Jonathan Muhtar, Red Robin's senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said in a statement. "In the program's 12 year-history, we have raised more than $4.8 million that, through Special Olympics, has helped fund year-round sports, training and athletic competitions in communities across the U.S."
