🌱 Tektronix Sheds Unused Offices + Beaverton's 'Bucket List' Sandwich
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Beaverton.

Hey, everybody! It's Wednesday in Beaverton and I'm back in your inbox after a long weekend with everything you need to know about what's happening in the community today.
First, today's weather:
A thick cloud cover and warm. High: 78 Low: 54.
Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:
- Tektronix officials announced Tuesday that they've decided to sell or lease part of the company's headquarters campus near Beaverton, reports Mike Rogoway. The choice is a result of remote working and recent downsizing. The newly available office spaces create an opportunity for infilling near Beaverton's bustling downtown. (OregonLive)
- Get to know Beaverton YouTube star, second-grader Rahee Kulkarni, over at Pamplin Media Group. The McKinley Elementary student started the channel Explore and Learn w Rahee when she was only 5 years old. Rahee's channel explores topics such as chess, the solar system, microscopes and more. Rahee says she's likely to share a video about colors next. (Subscription required)
- Two Beaverton multifamily communities changed hands recently for a cool $30.5 million. Amy Works reported that the 62-unit The Huntley (12310 SW Center St.) and the 48-unit Parker Apartments (17135 SW Heritage Ct.) passed to Next Wave Investors. The buyer has plans to make a number of updates at the properties, including new HVAC equipment for all units. (REBusinessOnline)
- An OregonLive reader offered a shoutout for The Mocking Bird in Beaverton. The mention of the vegan food cart (located at BG's Food Cartel) was part of reader Alice D'Amore's letter lamenting lack of attention for vegan venues. D'Amore called The Mockingbird's Mac Daddy XL a "monstrosity" that "should be on everyone's bucket list."
- Take a gander at newly available homes in the Beaverton area with the Real Estate Roundup from Beaverton Patch. Highlights this week include a tidy Tanasbrook condo near Five Oaks Middle School for just under $300,000 and a gorgeous golf course-adjacent home in the Claremont senior community for a $1.2 million.
