Hey, hello! I'm back with your fresh copy of the Beaverton Daily. Here are all the things you need to know about what's happening in the community today.

First, today's weather:

Partial sunshine. High: 76 Low: 54.

Here are the top five stories in Beaverton today:

Head over to KOIN.com to find out Hillsboro and other neighboring districts' plans. Beaverton School District's summer lunch program launched on Monday, June 27, and you can find times and locations on the BSD website.
  2. TriMet announced via Twitter on Tuesday that it would be reducing service throughout the region, including some routes locally. Both the 50 (Cedar Mill) and the 92 (South Beaverton Express) are set to be canceled due to low ridership. The cancelations go into effect September 18. (TriMet)
  3. A Beaverton student is one of just 31 recipients of the State Merit Winners in the 2022 3M Young Scientist Challenge. Sahit Jayaweera, an 8th grader at Tumwater Middle School, earned the honor for identifying a problem and sharing a possible scientific solution. (K-12 Dive)
  4. Beaverton-based Nike was among a number of Oregon businesses to pledge support for employees seeking abortions following the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.
