- At The Garages got a shoutout from Willamette Week's Where to Eat in Portland This Week column. With a music venue plus bar plus what WW staff called "a solid pod," what's not to love? Love Pasta, Thai Lao Teriyaki and Ochoa's Lupitas Tacos all received special accolades.
- JLL Capital Markets announced Tuesday that it closed on Seven West for Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC. Seven West is a huge, 423-unit apartment complex over on Scholls Ferry Road. Regarding the acquisition, JLL's Senior Managing Director Ira Virden remarked that "Beaverton continues to be a preferred submarket amongst investors" due to nearby top employers like Nike and Intel. - Take a gander at Tualatin Valley Water District's latest project down on 209th and Scholls Ferry Road. The agency is constructing a new water operations facility near the South Cooper Mountain neighborhood. Plan ahead to avoid delays near the area beginning in November and lasting through February. - Tuesday was a bad day for owners and workers at Adorn, a body-piercing and tattoo studio on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. A driver of a pickup truck lost control and drove into the building around 3:00 PM that afternoon. TVF&R reported there were no injuries, although the building was damaged and a power pole and lines fell across the highway. (KATU)
- Kelcie Grega reports on progress from city government on plans to regulate and facilitate the area's outdoor dining options. Officials are hoping the success of downtown can be realized in other parts of the city and are planning more discussion at the next city council meeting.
