The affected home was under construction in a developing area of North Bethany, officials said. One firefighter was treated for exhaustion.

BETHANY, OR — A home under construction in a developing neighborhood in North Bethany caught fire early Wednesday, ultimately causing injury to one Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue firefighter, officials said.
The fire was first reported shortly before 1 a.m. Aug. 16, officials said. TVF&R crews from Station 64 in Rock Creek responded to the fire near Northwest 169th Avenue and Northwest Trillium Street in Bethany to find fire emanating from the nearly-finished home's side and roof. Crews initially went into the home to fight the blaze but were quickly forced out due to worsening conditions, officials said, which included the partial collapse of the roof and second floor.
