Virtual Community Sessions And Voters’ Forum Feature Beaverton Ballot Items

The virtual sessions will be held Monday, April 20 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m.

BEAVERTON, Ore. – A series of virtual community sessions will be offered this month to share information on Ballot Measure 34-298, the proposed Beaverton charter of 2021.
The virtual sessions will be held Monday, April 20 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m. The format will feature an informational presentation, panel discussion and an opportunity for questions and answers. The sessions will be broadcast online and accessible from www.BeavertonOregon.gov/charter.
Ballot Measure 34-298 also will be a featured item during the Beaverton Voters’ Forum on Monday, May 4 from 7-9 p.m. The new virtual format will allow community members to hear from candidates and ask questions.

The virtual forum will be hosted online and available for viewing at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/voters... and broadcast on cable Channel 23.

Questions directed to candidates at the Voters’ Forum can be submitted online at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/votersforum. Candidate questions should be directed to all for a given position.
The Voters’ Forum is hosted by the Beaverton Committee for Community Involvement (BCCI), a group charged to assist in developing, implementing and evaluating a community involvement program that ensures an opportunity for individuals to be involved in all phases of the city’s land use planning and decision-making process. BCCI is composed of a representative from each of the city’s 11 Neighborhood Association Committees (NACs), and eight at-large members appointed by the Beaverton City Council.
