Wanted felon captured after 90-minute chase
Beaverton police help deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office track down and capture a wanted man.

Beaverton Police Officers assisted in the arrest of a wanted man Tuesday.
Elijah Andrew James Halverson was arrested Tuesday afternoon after an extensive 90- minute search, finally being captured in the backyard of a home in the 5500 block of SW 176th Avenue in Aloha.
The incident started when a deputy saw Halverson jumping over fences and attempting to break into a home. The owner of that house, armed with a bat and scissors, fought Halverson off.

The deputy, recognizing Halverson as wanted and knowing he might have a gun, called for assistance.
During the search, deputies recovered two guns that they say Halverson had ditched in the dirt by the home's crawlspace.

The guns were loaded. One had been reported stolen.
Halverson, who is being held without bail, is charged with attempted burglary, trespassing, and several weapons-related charges.
