• National Park Service Lists Two Former City Halls in the National Register of Historic Places (einpresswire.com) — Canby’s former City Hall on Holly Street has just been added to the National Register of Historic Places, giving the landmark recognition and added protection. The listing, alongside Milwaukie’s former city hall, highlights the buildings’ New Deal-era architecture and government history, and could open doors to tax benefits, preservation grants, and more flexible building codes for future reuse.

• Stretch of Molalla Forest Road has been opened (woodburnindependent.com) — A key stretch of Molalla Forest Road has reopened, improving access between Toliver Road, Forest Lane, and Chief Yelkus Park just southeast of Canby. The city highlights the route’s logging-era history, when timber moved through Molalla to the Willamette River in Canby for shipment, and says recent projects are strengthening the trail and park system in the area.
