Portland Thorns, Portland Fire and Kaiser Permanente Team up for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (oursportscentral.com) ā Forest Grove families can access fresh food vouchers and breast cancer wellness resources at a special Latine-focused event October 14 at the Forest Grove Farmers Market, backed by the Portland Thorns, Portland Fire and Kaiser Permanente. Alongside other Portland-area walks and activities, the partnership aims to expand screening information, navigation help, and survivor support throughout the month.

Haunted Theatre adds laser tag for 'Apocalypse in the Grove' (newsinthegrove.com) ā Forest Grove residents can gear up for āApocalypse in the Grove,ā Theatre in the Groveās Haunted Theatre running Oct. 23-31 with an added laser-tag-style option this year. A free, no-scare, scaled-down version returns 4-6 p.m. on Halloween during the downtown Trick-or-Treat the Merchants event, with proceeds supporting the local nonprofit theater.

3. Cornelius man pleads guilty after August confrontation with Sen. Sollman (forestgrovenewstimes.com) ā A Cornelius man has been sentenced to two years of supervised probation after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct for disrupting Sen. Janeen Sollmanās August community forum at Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. Prosecutors say he became verbally disruptive, grabbed the senatorās glasses, and damaged them, leading to his arrest by Forest Grove police and court-ordered anger management and no-contact conditions.

PNW dairies fight over millions owed by milk broker (capitalpress.com) ā A Forest Grove dairy, Ever May Farms, is among several Oregon and Washington farms fighting in court to recover hundreds of thousands of dollars they say a California milk broker still owes them. Multiple lawsuits and interpleader actions involving Tillamook and Salem creameries will determine who gets paid first, including dairies and cash-advance lenders.
