2 Injured In Motorcycle Vs. Truck Crash Thursday Night

The two motorcycle riders, a male and female, were both taken to hospital after colliding with a Ford truck on SE Stark Street Aug. 31.

GRESHAM, OR β€” Two people were hurt β€” one with life-threatening injuries β€” in a car versus motorcycle crash in Gresham Thursday night, according to police.

Shortly before 9:45 p.m. Aug. 31, a motorcycle with two riders traveling west on Southeast Stark Street collided with a southbound 1999 Ford F-350 truck as it turned east from Southeast 151st Avenue onto Southeast Stark Street.

Crashing into each other at the intersection, both motorcycle riders were injured, police said. The adult female passenger reportedly received serious but non-life-threatening injuries while the adult male motorcycle driver was said to have sustained critical injuries. Both were taken to hospital via ambulance, police said.

The driver of the Ford remained on-scene and reportedly cooperated with the police investigation. He was not injured, police said.

Southeast Stark Street was closed in both directions between Southeast 148th and Southeast 153rd avenues for a period while officers investigated the crash, police said.
