After weeks of investigation using city cameras, search warrants, and forensic evidence, detectives secured multiple serious charges and are reminding drivers in Gresham to avoid impairment, slow down, and give road workers extra space.

Police: K-9 on Final Shift Struck by Officer Gunfire During Arrest (officer.com) — A recent homicide investigation in Gresham led police to discover a 60-year-old man fatally shot in a Southeast Market Street home, sparking a regional manhunt. Hours later, Portland officers confronted the suspect, who was killed along with Kylo, a longtime police K-9 struck by officer gunfire during the attempted arrest, with body-camera footage set for release October 8.
