Autistic Boy Who Ran Away From Hotel In Gresham Located: Police
Gresham police said on Twitter they found Maliki Skutley just after 1:30 p.m. Nov. 14 — about 12 hours after he ran away.

GRESHAM, OR — A 12-year-old boy who reportedly ran away from a hotel he and his parents were staying at just after 1 a.m. Tuesday was reunited with his family by Gresham police roughly 12 hours later.
Maliki Israel Skutley and his parents were staying an unspecified hotel in the 17700-block of Northeast Sacramento Street in Gresham, along Interstate-84, when Maliki went missing early Nov. 14. Police said Maliki spoke briefly with a man outside the hotel as he left, telling the man he was heading to an unspecified store.
Gresham police announced via Twitter just after 1:30 p.m. that Maliki had been found and was being reunited with his family.

An alert Troutdale resident reportedly spotted Maliki getting into a car at the Cherry Park Shopping Center in the 2500-block of Southwest Cherry Park Road in Troutdale around 1 p.m. Recognizing Maliki from the news, the citizen called police and waited for Gresham officers and Multnomah County deputies to arrive.
Police said the driver of the car Maliki was getting into is an associate of the boy's, but that the man is cooperating with detectives. At this time, no arrests have been made.
