Dexter McCarty Middle School Students Meet with Senator Wyden
Part of the senator's listening to the future tour.

Eighth grade students at Dexter McCarty Middle School in Gresham get to learn about how government works in their social studies class.
On Tuesday, they got to learn by having their government come to them - well, at least one senator came to visit and listen.
Ron Wyden, Oregon's senior senator, spent time at the school as part of his "Listening to the Future" tour in which he goes to schools around the state to hear from kids about what issues matter to them.
