Former NFL Star Has Third Naked Run In With Police

Stanley Wilson II had another naked run-in with a homeowner and police. This time he was not shot.

Stanley Wilson, the former NFL star who was sentenced last week to 10 days in jail in connection with his attempt last June to break into someone's home while naked, has been arrested again for trying to break into another home. He was naked this time as well, say Woodburn Police.

Wilson was found outside a home on the 2000 block of Citadel Street, according to police. He allegedly tried to get in the house more than once. When officers arrived, he walked out from a shed in the backyard, naked. He cooperated with the arresting officers.

He had pleaded no contest on Monday to trying to break into the home of 78-year-old Robert McCall on Southwest Humphrey Boulevard.

Wilson, who had no criminal record before the incident, was shot by McCall in the abdomen. A grand jury later ruled the shooting had been justified.

A standout at Stanford before being drafted by the Detroit Lions, Wilson had been scheduled to go on trial this week. His change of plea was first reported by The Oregonian.

Wilson admitted to using methamphetamine and will undergo assessment and possibly treatment as part of his sentence.

He will remain on probation for three years and got credit for time served.

Wilson's father, Stanley Wilson Sr., - also played in the NFL and had legal trouble. He is currently in prison in California on a burglary charge.

He was a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals and was on the team that went to the Super Bowl in 1989.

The elder Wilson, though, didn't play in the game. He had battled drug addiction, and the night before the game, relapsed.

He was finally found by one of his coaches in his hotel room bathroom where he had collapsed. Drug paraphernalia was at this side.

He was kicked out of the league after that.
