Gresham 2017 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

GRESHAM, OR — Before your kids go out trick-or-treating on Halloween, take inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.
Gresham has five registered sex offenders listed on the Oregon Sex Offender Registration list, four of whom are classified as Level 3 Offenders, which the state defines as someone "who presents the highest risk of reoffending and requires the widest range of notification."
While the Oregon sex offender registry contains more than 28,000 entrants, is does not include individuals who are no longer required by law to register as a sex offender, or those who are still under state-mandated supervision. Additionally, according to the state's website, to be included on the registry database the following criteria must also be met:

1.) While under supervision the person was determined to be a predatory sex offender as provided in ORS 181.585 AND notification of that under ORS 181.586 was made to someone other than the person's family.
2.) The person's last primary supervising authority has notified the Department of State Police that the person was under a high level of supervision at the termination of the person's most recent period of supervision.
