Gresham Looking to Help Businesses

A new program to assist with storm drain cleaning will help Gresham residents and businesses.

A new program will help Gresham residents and businesses by offering private storm drain cleaning for a discount.

Property owners are responsible for maintaining their storm drains. Doing so, say city officials, helps prevent flooding and other negative environmental problems.

"This program is particularly cost effective for businesses with only one or two drains. By avoiding the typical mobilization fee, businesses can save over $100, and we know every penny counts toward the bottom line," said Keri Handaly, SCAP program coordinator for Gresham.
