Gresham Man Charged in Trimet Theft

Allegedly stole tickets and passes from Fedex facility where he worked

The 25-year-old Gresham resident was in court on one count of theft, charged with stealing more than $10,000 worth of Trimet tickets and passes from the FedEx facility where he worked.

He was arrested Tuesday and released on his own recognizance.

Trimet started investigating after receiving complaints from retailers that they were not receiving all the passes and tickets that they should have been getting.

The agency was able to determine that when the packages left Trimet, they had the correct number but something was happening between when they left and when they arrived at the retailer.

And that led them to the FedEx facility.

The investigation is ongoing. A next court date has not yet been set.
