Gresham Man Falls Asleep at Wheel and Ends Up Upside Down
Had worked an extra shift at work. was not seriously injured.

A Gresham is fairly lucky after falling asleep at the wheel, overturning and ending up upside down.
It happened early Thursday.
Jonathan Gerrard, 27, was headed home after having worked an extra shift, when he fell asleep, veered off the road in the 12000 block of SE Kane and ended up upside down in the gravel parking lot of White's Country Meats.

Police said he did not show signs of impairment.

The Gresham Police Department wants to remind everyone that driving while tired can be as dangerous as being alcohol or drug impaired. It is better to find a safe place to pull over and sleep in your car than risk falling asleep behind the wheel of a moving two-ton battering ram.
