Gresham PD To Pick Up DUII Patrols This Week

Through Jan.1, the Gresham Police Department will use its High Visibility Enforcement grant from Oregon Impact to minimize drunk driving.

GRESHAM, OR - From The Gresham Police Department: The Gresham Police Department has been awarded a 2017-2018 DUII High Visibility Enforcement grant from Oregon Impact. This grant will allow officers to do extra, targeted enforcement to arrest DUII drivers beginning November 2017 through September 2018.

Along with other local agencies, these missions are aimed at keeping drivers and pedestrians safe throughout Oregon.

High visibility enforcement, increasing the number of officers on the streets who aggressively seek drunk drivers, is designed to deter people from driving after they have been drinking. Officers will also be looking for impaired drivers during this holiday season, specifically between Dec. 15 and Jan. 1, 2018.
