Gresham Police Kill Father Who Killed Two Young Daughters

The girls were eight and 11-years-old.

GRESHAM, OR – Gresham Police shot and killed a man who earlier had killed his two young daughters. The girls were eight and 11-years-old. The incident started just after midnight when the girl's mother called police, saying that her husband and daughters were missing and she was concerned about the safety of her children.

Gresham Police located the dad's SUV in a parking lot around 162nd and Glisan just before 2 a.m.. The dad exited his vehicle and shot at officers who returned fire, killing the man.

The two young girls were dead inside the vehicle.

The area around 162nd and Glisan is expected to be closed for hours.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and the East County Multnomah Major Crimes Team will handle the investigation.
