Gresham Police Seek Help Finding Missing Woman

(UPDATED) Susan Behrens was last seen April 4. Her disappearance is unusual, her family reportedly said.

GRESHAM, OR – (UPDATE) Susan Behrens' body was found near a remote waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge just after 3 p.m. April 13, search and rescue officials said.

Behrens' family released the following statement after the discovery:

"We know that Susan loved the outdoors and moved to Oregon to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Susan was doing what she loved, and as a family we are proud of all that she accomplished in her life. We would like to take an opportunity to thank all of the search and rescue personnel from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and Hood River County Sheriff's Office, as well as the countless volunteers who have worked diligently over the last two days to find Susan."

Police are asking the public for help locating a Gresham woman who's been missing since April 4. Susan Behrens, 30, is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is about 5-foot 4-inches and 100 pounds.

Police said Behrens' disappearance is unusual, according to her family, and that her family and friends are concerned.

Behrens seafoam green 2015 Toyota Prius was located Tuesday night near the Eagle Creek Recreation Area in the Columbia River Gorge, police said.

Search and rescue teams from multiple agencies are working together from a command post at the Eagle Creek Fish Hatchery.
