Gresham Police say that the nine-year-old girl who went missing Monday night has been found safely. Elisa Salmeron was recognized by someone who saw her picture on television and called police.

Salmeron was reported missing around 9:30 Monday night. She had last been seen wearing a purple jacket, a t-shirt that says "free hugs" and white pajama bottoms with candy cane hearts. She was also found with a small rolling suitcase and later said she had wanted to go see friends.

A young couple had helped her buy a ticket to get on TriMet. She traveled with them for a short time. She was found in a home - alone - near where he had gotten off the train.
