Man Found Dead Outside Gresham Elementary School Sparks Investigation
UPDATE: Four arrests have been made in connection with the death of 24-year-old Alex Brodigan Monday night.

GRESHAM, OR — The Gresham Police Department on Tuesday announced its investigation into the suspicious death of an adult male outside North Gresham Elementary School Monday night.
The school was not in session Tuesday while police investigated the incident but reopened Wednesday.
By Tuesday afternoon, four arrests were made in connection to the suspicious death: Andrew McMahon, 21, of Gresham; Austin Brown, 20, of Portland; and two juveniles, both 17, from Gresham. Each are being charged with murder and robbery, police said.

On Wednesday, the family of the slain 24-year-old victim came forward to identify him as Alex Brodigan.
According to a YouCaring account (similar to GoFundMe), which was setup to help cover funeral costs, Brodigan recently saw the birth of his child.

Reports of a gunshot heard in the area of Southeast Yamhill Street and Southeast 217th Avenue were received shortly before 11:30 p.m. June 19, police said. When officers arrived to North Gresham Elementary School, located at 1001 S.E. 217th Ave., they found a deceased 24-year-old male inside a vehicle that had reportedly rolled into the side of the school.
Police reportedly told journalists with KOIN News that the male was shot to death.

KOIN News reporter Brent Weisberg also said the park adjacent to the school was cordoned off in large sections by yellow 'crime scene' tape, and that three individuals were seen leaving the school area after the initial gunshot. Police did not say whether those individuals were connected to the shooting.
The East County Major Crimes Team is investigating, police said, adding that anyone in the area who may have heard or witnessed anything related to this incident is asked to call Gresham police at 503-618-2719.
