The Davidoffs were in the process of moving out of their home. She had lost her job, had been forced to sell the house.
Her lawyers would introduce evidence of her mental state - how she had accused her ex-husband of killing her mother even though she was still alive and had referred to her daughter and angel that wouldn't be able to save her.

At one hearing, they played video of her interrogation where she sat in the lap of her 65-year-old mother, wrapped in a blanket, rocking back and forth, crying.
Davidoff will be under the jurisdiction of the state's Psychiatric Review Board. There is the possibility that she could one day be released.
